Dear customers,
Google has introduced stricter rules for software developers on the Android platform last year, and unfortunately we have to adapt to these rules and modify our Miraf SongBook app for Android. Due to these rules, the location where your data (databases, MP3s, images, etc.) is stored in the program is changing.
!!!IMPORTANT!!! Before upgrading to Miraf SongBook 3 for Android, please carefully read these instructions.

Migration procedure from version 2 to version 3:

1) Save your currently set appearance, if you are using it - Settings tab/Appearance/Save settings
2) For safety, back up everything that belongs to the Android app. It is usually stored in the path:

/storage/emulated/0/MirafSongBook
sometimes also marked as:
/Internal storage/MirafSongBook

3) Install the new version 3 from the Google Play Store (update).
4) After installation, start the new version 3 - you should only see a sample database, then close the program.
5) Transfer all your original files (databases, MP3s, images, etc.) from the old folder (see point 2) to the new folder:

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/cz.miraf.mirafsongbook01/files/MirafSongBook
sometimes also marked as:
/Internal storage/Android/data/cz.miraf.mirafsongbook01/files/MirafSongBook

Transfer everything completely that you have in the folder. You can use a PC connection via cable or directly in Android using the file manager you normally use to transfer.

6) Run the program and select your standard database from the list.
7) If you are using appearances, go to the program settings (Settings/Appearances) and click "Load default or saved appearances" and then select your desired appearance.


Procedure for a completely clean installation of version 3.

1) Install the program on your device via Google Play
2) Transfer your data via Cloud or using a USB cable from your PC. Data is now stored in the folder:

/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/cz.miraf.mirafsongbook01/files/MirafSongBook
sometimes also marked as:
/Internal storage/Android/data/cz.miraf.mirafsongbook01/files/MirafSongBook


!!!IMPORTANT!!! Important information is that if you uninstall the program from the device, all data in the folder will also be deleted.

If you cannot see the directory structure, your file manager does not have the necessary permissions. We recommend installing Total Commander, for example, in which you will see the files without any problems and you can copy, move, delete, etc. them as you wish.
The second option is to connect your Android to a Windows computer and then you should be able to see the directory structure, for example, through the built-in Explorer or even through Total Commander for Windows.

We have prepared new video tutorials that are focused specifically on the Android version, including migration to the new version 3 - you can find them in the new section "Tutorials for Android".

• Added a coefficient for automatic text scrolling. In the Windows version, you can set automatic scrolling for each song and transfer the database to the Android device. Due to different resolutions, there was a different speed of automatic scrolling on the Windows and Android versions. By setting the coefficient, all speeds for each song will be recalculated and thus the scrolling will be accelerated or slowed down and thus adapted for a specific device. So you no longer need to set the scrolling for each device, but simply adjust the coefficient for automatic text scrolling. Values are set in the range of 0.01 - 3.00.

• !!!!!!!! In order to comply with Googles rules, we are switching to a different user data management and therefore introducing new rules for storing databases and multimedia content on Android devices. Databases can now only be stored on internal storage to be editable. Other content can be on internal storage or on an SD card. If the user had databases on the SD card in the previous version, they must manually move them to the internal storage - other content can remain on the SD card. Set new paths for images and MP3 files in the program settings !!!!!!
  If your databases do not work after the update, move them to the internal storage in the DATABASE directory (as it is in the default settings). Change the new paths to images and MP3 files in the program settings.

• Improved full-screen mode - selection from databases and sorting by lists
• Added the ability to search for songs alphabetically - just click on the selected letter in the list and songs will be automatically selected only from the selected letter. It is turned on by the "AZ" button at the bottom of the screen below the song list.

• New security certificate - we recommend that all version 8 customers download and install version 8.27 or later. This version contains a new security certificate. All older versions (8.00 - 8.26) can no longer be registered and you will receive an error 00010 when trying to register.
